Prawn noodle.. An Asian Favorite dish throughout Southeast Asia

Prawn noodle is a dish that make most people gaga over and they are willing to pay top dollars for a bowl of it... usually a whopping $10 for a bigger size prawn (maybe 2 piece of it), a few slices of lean pork meat along with thin slices of fish cakes.... However what makes this dish yummy is actually the soup!!! Without that soup, it is just an usual mee pok dry type of dish...

Yes, the prawn broth is heavenly with a strong smell of 'swimming' crustaceans shells and 'heads' in it... The broth has to be simmered for a long period in order to achieve that kind of sweetness.....

Sadly, most hawkers opt for the "short cuts"... adding Monosodium glutamate (MSGs) or a whole bottle of dark soya sauce...This is why you would want to drink up a reservoir of  H2O right after a slip of that potent soup.....

Anyway, This evening I have the gourmet luck to eat my mum's Prawn noodle mee... the soup is wonderful as it was prepared since 7.30am in the morning.....and it is without those "Supplements' that I mentioned earlier.

Nothing beats a bowl of prawn soup couple with the noodles and sambal whipped up by your mum!!!!

This plate of prawn noodle certainly cost more than what you can find outside...It is priceless
